I am very proud to share that I have received the Best PhD Thesis in Artificial Intelligence 2025 Award, granted by the Portuguese Association for Artificial Intelligence (APPIA)! πŸ†πŸŽ‰

This award recognises PhD theses in Artificial Intelligence completed at Portuguese higher-education institutions during 2025.

I am very glad since this award recognises the research carried out throughout my PhD and its contributions at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, and Computer-aided Education.

My doctoral research led to MENTOR, a framework focused on advancing automated feedback and program repair for programming education. This work was developed in collaboration with my supervisors Vasco Manquinho at INESC-ID / TΓ©cnico U. Lisboa and MikolΓ‘Ε‘ Janota at CIIRC, Czech Technical University in Prague.

I am very grateful to APPIA and the award jury, as well as to my supervisors, colleagues, and everyone who supported me along the way.
